I’m so excited October is here! Fall has such a cozy, laid back feel & brings along some of the best weather, foods, & fashions of the year! Here a little peek into our world lately 🙂

Kaden

Kaden is very enthusiastic about saying certain words, especially “pumpkin” (“pkn”) & “ball”, along with a handful of other things, & enjoys repeatedly yelling it when he sees one until we acknowledge that we see it too. Then he gives a satisfied little look & is quiet for awhile. And he’s become a pro at spotting pumpkins & balls when we’re out & about.

He also loves to smell candles – at home, or especially when we see a big display at the store. He wants to sniff the candle & then gives a big “sigh”, like that was enjoyable 🙂

Last, but definitely not least, he learned to say “please” last week. It doesn’t sound like please, but it’s what he means, & it’s a much more pleasant alternative for him repeatedly yelling when he wants a drink of water or another bite of sweet potatoes.

Goals

I’m really thrilled to say that I can cross #13 and #15 off from my 30 by 30 list. Sometimes it just takes writing things down & giving yourself some sort of a timeframe (& occasionally some scheming & saving) to get it done. If you can dream it, you can do it 🙂

30 Day Photography Challenge

I found this challenge on Pinterest & began it October 1 with my siblings & a couple friends. We take our photo each day of whatever the subject is & then post it a Facebook group. I really wanted it to force me to learn some new techniques & take different pictures. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

Day 1: Self-Portrait

Day 2: What you wore today – Yes, I really wore all of this in one day. I feel like my little 3-year-old self who changed her outfit every hour just for fun. But this time I had legitimate reasons for all the changes 🙂

Day 3: Clouds

Day 4: Something Green – eyes. Truthfully Kaden & I have hazel eyes, but that means sometimes they look green, so that’s what we’re going with today.
