A magical day
We got to see our favorite show.
And watch the snow fall over the dancing lights.
Kaden enjoys this more every year π
Then we got home & had a disastrous bedtime. Kaden was exhausted but lay in bed refusing to go to sleep. Landon had a work emergency & was trying to take care of Alia who was screaming the whole time I was with Kaden. When he finally fell asleep after over an hour & I just started to feed Alia, out Kaden came tumbling back out of the bedroom. Finally we all piled in bed & they both passed out. As I lay there with them still a little frazzled from the frustration, I realized how silly all of it was. Delayed bedtime is aggravating. But I bet in 20 years I’d love to have that night back. To kiss Alia’s chubby cheeks & nuzzle my nose into her sweet silky hair. To laugh at how hilarious Kaden is. To sleep sandwiched between the two of them. Sometimes life is crazy. But it’s a good sort of crazy.

I got an email this weekend from the nice people at Shutterfly with a free card offer from their new company Treat π I discovered photo cards a couple years ago & love sending them for birthdays, Easter, St Patricks Day – any holiday is a good excuse. The only problem with photo cards is your recipients will want to keep them forever. But that’s not really a problem, right? If you’d like to try a complimentary card from Treat, use code TREATBLOGR today or tomorrow (11/19/12 – 11/20/12) on www.treat.com.
Off to make some cranberry sauce, then sweet potato casserole tomorrow, & green bean on Wednesday. That is the best green bean casserole recipe ever. But you gotta use Lars crispy onions from Whole Foods. It’s amazing.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving week!
