Kaden has been talking about going to the 4th of July parade “downtown” for weeks – needless to say, he was very excited it was finally here 🙂

He was both thrilled & a little scared to see the horses.

After the parade we had a cookout at Mimi & Pa’s. It was pretty quiet compared to the norm since Kaden’s aunties & uncle are at summer camp this week.

Landon thought the fruit pizza should have Captain America’s logo on it. Which I suppose counts as patriotic 😉

Kaden loves ketchup. Unfortunately it has pretty much zero nutritional value & is excessively messy, but since he’s had it once, you can’t put it on the table without giving him some for dipping (black beans, toast, he doesn’t care. Just “more ketchup!”)

Watching in anticipation as Pa blew up his swimming pool for the first time.

This evening we decided to skip the crowds downtown & watch the fireworks from the sidewalk instead. It was very nice 🙂
